In this blog post, I’m sharing some of my mom’s earliest artworks alongside my own—precious pieces we’ve managed to preserve over the years. In the early '80s, my mom attended the University of Art in Moscow.
From a young age, my mom introduced me to various drawing techniques and helped me unlock my creativity. One of our favorite creative activities was a doodle exercise that sparked my imagination. At school, arts and crafts were always my favorite activities.
Gems From The Past (Art)
Here are some of my mother's paintings from 80s-90s that have been kept over the years.
Painted in Oil by Lana Repina.
Fashion sketches from the '80s.
Drawings made before I was born.
Sketches of a self-portrait, me as a child, and my great-grandfather. ('80s and '90s)
And here are some of my paintings that my mom has kept, framed and still has them at her house. It warms my heart.
These were painted in gouache when I was six years old in Sweden.

This one is -a recreation of Girls in the Garden by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, which I painted during my school art class as a teenager in Sweden.
I don’t recall my exact age when I made this, but I do remember enjoying experimenting.
My favorite Disney movie was Beauty and the Beast, so I created my own version of the enchanted rose, carved in glass.
Drawings and sketches featuring a self-portrait, me as a child.
